The culmination of dialogue between religious communities is holding interreligious conferences. Until now, five such meetings were held in Macedonia, of which, the first one was at state level and it came as a result of the ethnic war in 2001, initiated by the President of the country and helped by the relevant researchers from the scope of the dialogue; the second one was a regional summit where the leaders of Southeast European countries attended; whereas, the last three conferences were at world level and were supported by Macedonian Government. In this research, it was used the descriptive method, relevant reports and results of a survey of the Institute for Democracy regarding interreligious dialogue were analyzed, whereas the interview was used as a technique. The hypothesis of this research is focused on the success of these conferences regarding population. The results show that despite the fact that these conferences have become part of government programs and the tradition for their organization has already been formed, they have deviated from their essence and initial vision, to be a catalyst of peace in the country and the region.

The conflict of 2001 changed the course of interethnic and interreligious harmony in the Republic of Macedonia. This situation was at first understood by the former president Boris Trajkovksi, who was methodist evangelist, who did not belong to any of the two polarized communities, Orthodox and Muslim, and with international assistance initiated for the first time the interfaith dialogue. This practice of weak influence was inherited by the succeeding president, Branko Crvenkovski, and this impact almost disappeared completely during the mandate of president Gjorgji Ivanov. Today, the current problem is the issue of the consensual president; this led to other early parliamentary elections. Does it mean that by electing the same president we will have the same political stalemate and religious disharmony? Through this research, my goal is to discuss the role of the President in promoting interfaith harmony and to emphasize the importance of the consensual president accepted by both ethnic and religious majority. All the presidents of the Republic of Macedonia will be the case study in this research. The comparative method will be used to evaluate their policies on promoting interfaith harmony and notably the impact of these policies on society. The results of this research show that the success of a consensual president in easing ethnic and religious tensions arises when he thinks beyond the narrow party interests. The interethnic and interreligious dialogue should be a priority for the Government of the Republic of Macedonia because the future of this multi-ethnic and multi-religious country depends on it, and this priority has a direct relationship with the election of the consensual president taking into consideration not only the ethnicity but culture and religion as well regarding his election.

The vast majority of explanations of capitalist and socialist systems are based on their contradictory features. However, on a general historical and theoretical level, there are some similarities between both families of a system obtained throughout the process of their co-evolution. Therefore, as a result of these similarities, even today, most confuse their economic concepts. Such confusion rightly stimulates our research interest to understand some basic categories within the political culture of citizens in North Macedonia, i.e., understanding its homogenization level (whether it is low or high), which is a necessary precondition for the basic consensus in society. The research, based on the distribution of social wealth and product, and private property and market ownership, through the survey, will measure the attitude of citizens towards the old and new social order, respectively, towards socialism and capitalism. To accomplish this survey by not asking correspondents direct questions, through some indicative questions, we will focus on the constituent features of these two systems, such as justice, humanity, the concentration of capital, and property distribution. These are also elements of a fundamental difference between socialism and capitalism, both in theory and social practice. The results will prove the hypothesis that in the Republic of North Macedonia, we can not have a clear picture of the dominant system, as we have a combined mosaic that to some extent is in favor of the new capitalist system, but without many economic prospects.

Throughout history and in the 19th and 20th centuries, humanity and states faced financial crises: The Great Depression and the Financial Crisis of 2008-2009 had an intense impact on rules and principles of trade and actors in international relations. From the end of 2019 until today, countries face the world pandemic known as COVID-19, which has impacted not only human health but also many other aspects internationally. All this led to setting rules and restrictions by the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the movement of people and trade; in the decline of the volume and value of international trade in goods and services; production reductions by manufacturing companies; restriction of transport services; as well as a substantial decline in passenger airlines and air transport companies; limiting even the executive power of states in some cases. This research aims to highlight the impact that the pandemic has had in terms of international trade and the perspective of states' role in establishing rules and principles regarding the international political economy, especially in the new era of globalization, taking as a case study the states of North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo.
